LeadBot answers the phone for local service businesses, and runs a chat box on some of their websites. This page explains what we collect when you call or type, and what we do with it.
When you call a business that uses LeadBot
LeadBot picks up. The call is recorded and written out so the owner gets an accurate summary of what you said, and the greeting tells you the call may be recorded before you get into it. LeadBot asks for your name, your phone number, your address, and what needs fixing. All of it goes to the business you called, by text and by email, so they can call you back. We collect it for them, not for us.
Texts you might get
If you give LeadBot your number on a call, it may text you to confirm your appointment or to say the owner will follow up. Owners get a text summary of every call LeadBot takes for them. Your carrier's normal message rates apply. Reply STOP to any LeadBot text and the texts stop.
The chat box on some websites
A few businesses also run a LeadBot chat box on their website. It works the same way. You type your name, number, address, and what you need, and it goes to that business so they can get back to you.
How the calls and chats get handled
AI writes the replies, the transcripts, and the summaries. Everything travels over an encrypted connection. We do not use your calls or your chats to train AI models.
What we collect on this website
If you start a trial or email us, we keep what you send: your business name, your name, your phone number, and your email. We use it to set up your service and to answer you. That is all.
Who else sees it
What you tell LeadBot goes to the business you contacted. We do not sell it. Running LeadBot takes a handful of outside companies: Vercel hosts the site, Anthropic supplies the AI, a phone provider carries and transcribes the calls, and Resend delivers the email. Each one only touches what it needs to do its job.
How long we keep it
We hold on to recordings, transcripts, and call details only as long as it takes to run the service and fix problems. The summary we send sits in the owner's inbox and on their phone until they delete it. Copies of our emails stay in Resend's sending records. If an email fails to send, the details show up in our server logs for a short while so we can go find the lost lead.
Getting your information deleted
Email 1maddoxcole.1@gmail.com and tell us what you want deleted: a recording, a transcript, or anything you sent us. We will take care of it. You can also ask the business you called to delete their copy.
Keeping it safe
We protect your information with encrypted connections and limited access, in line with the New York SHIELD Act.
Children
LeadBot is not built for children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
