LeadBot ("we," "us") provides an AI-powered chat widget that local service businesses embed on their websites to collect customer inquiries. This policy explains what information we collect and how we handle it.
Information collected through the chat widget
When you use a LeadBot chat widget on a business's website, we collect the information you choose to provide: your name, phone number, address, and a description of the service you need. This information is collected on behalf of the business whose website you are visiting, and is delivered to that business by email so they can respond to your inquiry.
How chat messages are processed
Chat conversations are processed using Anthropic's Claude API to generate responses. Messages are transmitted securely. We do not use your conversations to train AI models.
Information collected on leadbot.live
If you contact us through this website, we collect the information you provide (such as your name and email) solely to respond to you.
How we share information
Lead information is shared only with the business you contacted through their website. We do not sell personal information. We use service providers to operate LeadBot: Vercel (hosting), Anthropic (AI processing), and Resend (email delivery), each of which processes data only to provide their service.
Data retention
Lead information is delivered to the relevant business by email and is not retained by LeadBot beyond what is needed to operate and troubleshoot the service. Copies of lead notification emails remain in our email delivery provider's (Resend's) sending records, and lead details may appear temporarily in service logs used to troubleshoot failed deliveries.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect personal information, including encrypted transmission (HTTPS) and access controls, consistent with the New York SHIELD Act.
Your choices
To access, correct, or delete information you submitted through a business's chat widget, contact that business directly, or email us at hello@leadbot.live and we will assist.
Children
LeadBot is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
